Hi
I have been asked by my tenant in Villajoyosa to provide a declaracion durada. It relates to a total amount of rent owed due to covid.
I need help as I’m unsure if I can just make the declaration in writing myself or do I need to use a
solicitor ? The town hall have asked the tenant to ask me for it?.
Any help would be appreciated.

Slight error in spelling - it's declaración jurada.
I assume from what you say that the tenant must be seeking assistance to pay the arrears.
As far as I'm aware, there isn't any need for such a declaration to be witnessed, and that you can just do it yourself.
Bear in mind that it's effectively a sworn statement, which is legally binding on the person who signs it, so make such that what you attest to is correct.
Keep it simple and to the point. The following is a good example of a format:
