I don’t really understand what your problem is here - do you seriously not trust what governments are saying?
I am 65 years old and i have yet to find someone who does.

It’s just a problem that when people keep questioning everything that is published by the authorities others take these comments & queries as truth and then spread false news.

Nobody wants to stop people travelling but we saw it few months ago that they'd stopped people travelling...
The vaccination policy is about allowing people to travel, by having a standard across the EU that countries can follow. Travel may have been stopped in the past due to high infection rates caused by new variants and it may happen again if another new dangerous variant emerges (hopefully not). Countries like Spain and others that have high percentages of tourists and second home visitors have seen the effect that travel bans have on their economies and will do all possible to prevent further bans.
I don't worry that my vaccine date will get to 270 days and I will not be able to travel, it's a very safe bet that a solution will be found well before that will become a problem, be it a 4th vaccination or a extension of the 270 days for those that have had a booster.
Aitch.

You are right - it is a bet.
And I expect something will be done.
But it is still a bet.
I used to put my money on Barcelona, Real Madrid, ManUtd. - and I lost.

I don't base my knowledge on comments - rather on what has been published by European and Spanish official institutions.

From the link I posted earlier, this is on the EU Website
Member States must accept vaccination certificates for a period of 270 days (9 months) since the completion of the primary vaccination series. For a single-dose vaccine, this means 270 days from the first and only shot. For a two-dose vaccine, it means 270 days from the second shot or, in line wi...

...th the national vaccination strategy, the first and only shot after having recovered from the virus. Member States should not provide for a different acceptance period for the purposes of travel within the European Union. The standard acceptance period does not apply to certificates for booster doses.
This one is quite important. Actually the last sentence.
However it is a quote from one EU official comment, not from the regulation itself.

Stan, it's only a bet in my terminology. In reality the decision will be determined by how the virus behaves over the coming months, then the various medical authorities will make a judgement call on the next steps. I'm sure I'll be okay for my booked trip in September if it is only vaccine status to worry about.

I am not sure if the vaccine status is "only".
It determines if you are let in or not.
And what "authorities" will decide in regards of a developement of the virus is another question.
I'm talking about the conditions we have at the moment.
And what we here have now is only a COMMENT of one EU official saying the time limit does not apply to booster jab.
What somebody said has no importance in European law. It is different than in the UK.
And so far I have not seen a piece of legislation clarifying straight that booster jab will last forever and having that you can cross the Spanish border.
Instead of that we have a regulation saying that 270 days from last vaccination covid passport (certificate) expires.
