saw a load of brits gathered together in a park on the UK news this evening and, when asked why they didn't wait until monday when the rules are relaxed to allow it, one girl said "what't the point, a few days aren't going to make any difference". And the same happened in Spain . What’s your point ? This is going to happen like it or not .

Why is someone living in an idyllic inland Spanish town obsessed with a few idiots' behaviour in the UK?..Spain has better record than the UK,Germany's is better than Spains...people are people and they are dying ffs..Does anyone else see the irony here?..It is predominantly British people on here who were not only happy to make the UK an unwelcoming country for migrants but now that they live here want to make Spain unwelcoming to British tourists .I despair!

Ahhh..my point entirely..what makes your point or opinions more valid than mine?..I simply disagree with the general thread of this topic that the majority of UK tourists are some kind of Neanderthals with an unnatural death wish to contract this horrible virus and then gleefully pass it on to others in their drunken stupor..What makes the British so much different to every other country?

I don’t understand why ex pats are so anti UK

We have all pulled together In the UK the vast majority and observed what we have been told to do.

The posters who have a derogatory option on everything will still be happily pulling on there pensions that afford them a good retirement in the sun.

There is not another country in this world that has looked after its citizens both financially and health care better than the Uk as done . I’m proud to be English and think on the hole the government as handled the situation as best they could.
The media have not covered themselves in glory however

Anyone living in Spain have most assuredly experienced a prison like life for the past 10 weeks. Thankfully it was not during the hot season so was probably bearable.

The Spanish authorities treated you the same as those in the midst of the pandemic in Madrid/ Barcelona. In my view, you could have had a more lenient lockdown and less fines.

Yes, our lockdown in N.I. and the mainland has been more civilised but we have been staying in our homes and adhering to the guidelines.

The comments made about people descending into parks and beaches are understandable. Some folk live in small homes out no outdoor space. I saw where a single father lived in a one bedroom apartment with his 2 little boys at the top of a building. You have 3 people sharing a home who can’t leave for their work in the morning but all 3 have to carry on doing their job from their bedroom in a very small one at that.

We must not judge others. We must learn to understand that many are suffering from depression and anxieties. Where do you think all these”hoards” and “yobs” are going to get the money to descend on Spain?  Many are jobless and could soon be homeless. reading these posts has made me wonder if I want to return to our house in Torrevieja this year or ever. It’s horrible to hear fellow brits animosity towards people they rubbed shoulders with in the past.
iNone of us wants to go through lockdown again but it’s a great deal easier to do so here at home. It is civilised. We are allowed out to walk and people move onto the road or cross over when passing and always have a few pleasant words of conversation when doing so. I am in absolutely No Rush to get over to Spain and have received your messages loud and clear. Stay Home.  Ok.
But remember, if people do as you are telling them, you won’t have so many lovely shops or restaurants to enjoy as they will soon close down. Property values will collapse as nobody will wish to buy them. Other countries will become the new place to go to and they will give a warmer welcome to prospective buyers and spenders.

We will take our holidays locally and we welcomed with open arms.

Life could become a lot simpler for all of us. The unfortunate thing is that you seem to have many “yobs” living near you according to the newspaper reports.

Please think before posting distressing messages. 2 weeks ago I was looking forward to flying over to Spain at the start of September but all the comments posted have strangely made me realise that I am not too keen anymore.

It might interest you to know that people over here have no desire to contract coronavirus either.

Maybe second home owners should be allowed in first instead of all the yobs ? Just a thought.

That’s what we thought would happen as it would be far easier to still distance and self isolate should the need arise again, rather than being in a densely populated holkday maker complex.

It would have made sense as home owners could check and maintain their properties and be in the country spending much needed additional euros.

We are waiting patiently to see what happens re flights going ahead, however the FCO in uk are still advising against all but essential travel so even if Michael O’Leary wants us to fly us out there, it’s doubtful our travel insurance would be valid unless the FCO changes their advice.

Keep well all

Sharon

I'm sorry but get a grip the beaches are going to be very limited the bars 40% nobody has forgot the motherland especially me we've had a new granddaughter in uk 3 weeks ago can't go and see her for obvious reasons so stop acting spoilt who nobody loves me I might not visit again all the expat SPANISH PRISONERS are asking and saying is slowly slowly open up because believe me IF there is a second spike (god forbid there isn't) the spanish authorities will not hesitate to fully lock us down again so whilst everyone in uk are having a stroll round there local parks walking up and down beaches whilst in the UK LOCKDOWN don't forget to share a thought for the people of spain!!!! all areas throughout spain they are not at 100% capacity as yet so a massive influx of visitors where and what are they going to do!!!! think long term resolution is better for all than a short blast of excitement the only reason the R No in spain is 0.2 is hard work from all concerned

Stay safe
