No test necessary to fly into Ireland, just make sure you complete the Passenger locator form. It can be done online. www gov.ie or www.hse.ie. Safe journey.

You won’t believe it but I changed my flights again and Ryanair charged another €70 . No free changes between 16/12/20 to 10/1/21.  Not only did I pay the fees, I spent so long on the chat line enquiring as to why fees were being charged by the time I got back to recharging , the cost of the flights gas gone up quite a bit.

I am enjoying the weather here as is my husband so it’s well worth the cost. The New Year will be a test for all of us at home so might as well enjoy our time here.

Oh happy days!

Understand your sentiments but here’s the strange part.... if you look at the covid rate in Ireland, it’s no different than the UK. So, why would Spain remove it from their list of countries requiring a covid test before entry?  Your guess is as good as mine. Also, why has Spain finally introduced this requirement at this late stage? It certainly should have been implemented months and months ago. France is equally bad but no test needed travelling through that country either. It strikes me as a bit of come upperance where the  U.K.  is concerned. That’s my opinion anyway.

Do we need the test if travelling from a country where the covid rate is low and test I not required, but with a transit/flight change in a red country?

Have a look at latest info.   The situation can change dramatically in days or weeks.

Hopefully it changes dramatically in the next few days to get rid of this test needed! 😁👍🤞🏼

Please do not rely on that happening as this new covid test has only just been introduced.  I imagine it will remain until the vaccination rolls out next spring.  It’s a costly exercise but needs must if you have to pay for it, bite the bullet and book the test.

Yesterday,  I changed my Ryanair flights yet again. I didn’t expect to have to pay a fee as they had waived it but not so! Flights between 16th Dec and 10th January didn’t apply. More expense. No point in crying. We will be home in time to decorate the house for nobody coming!  We are invited to have Christmas with my daughter and her husband and 9 month old baby. Can’t wait!  Max is up on his feet and riding a little car! Magic. Everyone of us will make the most of the festive season. Family zoom calls will be popular amongst people who can’t physically be with their family. We live in great times.  We will not give up because of covid19.  We are survivors !

I must say I cant condemn people providing they are covid free ,from using what means they can to fly to different places ,if it's cheaper to fly via Dublin to Spain then so be it .It appears to me that many companies have made plenty out of this pandemic ,so if they can be hit where it hurts ,then I'm all for that

My husband and I changed out plans and now plan to fly into DUBLIN .  Do we need a Covid 19 test in order to come into the Rep.of Ireland enroute to the North of Ireland?  This has only just occurred to me and I would appreciate a correct answer!

I understand that you must provide a PCR test and complete a Public Health Passenger Locator form. If you're travelling from Spain to Irrland you won't need to hotel quarantine if your PCR test is negative. That test must be done 72 hrs. prior to arrival in Ireland

We just returned to Dublin last Friday and yes you do need a PCR test done or you will not be allowed fly
