Very nice coincidental post, after nothing has been on here about Europrestige.  Interesting.  Glad you had a good experience.  However you have not said if you bought.  Funny that.

On our first visit we used a company that do trips for 100 euros for 3 or 4 days, and got to see a lot of the area. but not any houses we liked. It gave us a good insight of the area and with a lot of research and chat rooms we booked a hotel and contacted 3 estate agents with details of the houses they on there books. MOST had gone by the time we got there. We used Costa Blanca sales for our home, they sorted out solicitors, NIF number, bank account, which in turn set up all our direct debuts. and made the whole process so easy. They could not have done any more. If I was the guy showing me around I would have been pi## off. think I viewed about 12 houses.

Hi

We came over on a viewing trip the first time we bought. We did buy but with hindsight much better doing it yourself. Agents will pick you up from your hotel/apartment to show you round.  We bought a lovely property and bought brand new furniture lovely 2 bedroom 2 bathroom overlooking the pool in Villamartin but we don’t drive in Spain and bus service not great. Apart from close by restaurants there was no where near to walk etc.

We decided to move. Researched at length online. Google mapped areas so that we could see what was around etc. Then we contacted individual agents to show us round. We sold with Home Espana as our favourite property was with them. We now have one bedroom one bathroom a few minutes walk to the beach and a couple of minutes walk to the restaurants shops bars. It’s wonderful even though it cost as much as the bigger one we are much happier and the property is fab

I guess my point is; think very carefully about location. We are in PUNTA Prima where it’s a mixture of nationalities and open all year round and lovely beaches.

Hope this helps. Use reputable agents that speak good English.

Hi there,

We bought an apartment offplan  in Villamartin last year and completed in May this year.

We used Masa International on a viewing trip after meeting with one of their agents in the UK. It proved very helpful and they followed our brief very closely and was a good use of our time as we were able to ask lots of questions as we were travelling around. There was absolutely no hard sell.

From our internet search we originally didn’t have Villamartin at the top of our list because it appeared too far from the beach. However, being walkable distance from bars and restaurants was important so we spent some time testing the walk from the potential apartment to the Plaza ( and back!) and generally chatting to people in some of the restaurants and bars. Loved the feel of the place, bought the apartment

Found Masa’s support in answering our questions, keeping us updated with the build progress with photos etc moving in day all helped keep the stress levels down ( we hadn’t found this forum then!)

We are next out on 19th Sept and again 9th October- PM us if any of these dates suit to meet for a coffee

I would make sure the area is right before buying. If you go on a viewing trip they will give you more info than you will gleam for yourself. Picked up dropped off and assisted throughout the process - for me this really was the only option and it worked perfectly well. Make sure you have everything what you want in the location you like before you decide on a property.I can understand the people who say just rent somewhere which is a fair enough point, but having your own place is a massive difference. Its your own home with your own things and you can go at the drop of a hat. I ended up in a totally different location than I would have imagined which was thanks to a viewing trip.Good luck.

Hi

We used OCC in La Fuente to sale our old property and buy a new one snd they were brilliant.

We booked a flight and stayed st a hotel near by and as we bought with them they totally refunded our flights and hotel bill.

I would definately recommend them👍

I agree with all above - take your time and it’s good to look round in winter as some places shut down out of season. We researched online for a couple of months before coming over. Ole International in Villamartin are excellent, friendly staff, don’t pressure you at all and will pick you up and take you to properties - Mark soon understood our needs and found suitable properties, facilities and area. Check out their website. We eventually chose La Fuente (on the golf course) as all amenities are open year round and beaches are only 10 mins. away. Good luck and happy hunting.
