Hi we are thinking of buying a 2 bed holiday home in Villamartin. We are looking for somewhere that has enough going on but not too much, so a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. many thanks

Hi Ruby, we are looking for the same type of property and are coming out for a week in April, was wondering how you got on in your search and if you have any advise, it's so daunting especially not knowing if there's an area to avoid etc. So any info would be greatly appreciated

Cheers Lesley and paul

Is it possible to buy a traditional style property which would allow me to keep a dog and cat and not be to far away from shops and restaurants etc. Regards, Ed

The house will be absolutely  freezing cold.

Ask the vendor where the stop cock is, usually on the wall oitside if it's a house.

Find out what tariff the electricity is on. If you put too many heaters on it will trip the electricity

Hi we did a lot of research online before contacting an agent. The agent showed us around several areas on the Orihuela Costa and several different styles of property. We eventually bought in a different area to our original plan as it suited us better. By all means look online however you really need to look at different areas in person to make an informed decision as its a big investment. We also ended up increasing our budget as oroperties that we had seen online in our price range were not in the nicest areas so you really need a plan before you go and have a few areas/developements in mind

Good luck with your search
