Morning Steve.

Great news , so happy for you to have suceeded with your NLV application & thank you for remembering to post an update. Very soon you will be enjoying life in the sun, by the sea/mountains or wherever you choose. It was so new     ( this process) but I'm  so pleased your early efforts to live here in Spain  have been rewarded,

Cheers

Hello Denise

I'm sure they tell you the reason your application has failed... everyone I've ever seen on here, who has experienced this has been given the reason, that way you can appeal & if possible, you can  aim to put things right before resubmitting your application.

Cheers

Hi

We have managed to get a visa but struggling with the next process.  Got an appointment for a Padron but trying to find out which forms to fill in for TIE seems like a maze.  You think you have the right one but then it appears wrong.  Can't get appointment without knowing where and what to do, any, any help would be most appreciated.

Why are you struggling.....Go and see a Gestor, they will help you with everything you need to do. Worth every penny.

Not sure what a 'Gestor'  is, been to lawyers and they are not really helpful.  Looked on line and they want something like 100 euros per appointment.

Hello Dennis

I have 2 suggestions for you re residencia application.1st  If you intend to do this yourself with help from  you might find some useful info here.......

Padron, residencia and passport advice

This was written by one of our members for people with old residencia cards/papers to exchange them for the TIE card - it will not all apply to you but....  you can  pick out what  bits of info you might need that could help with your application. You can read the link below, and see what a 'gestor' can help you with.

My 2nd suggestion is that you contact www.getlegalinspain.com. Uma & her team are brilliant, all speak English & even provide transport to & from the correct offices in Alicante ( 2 visits). They helped me with the exchanging process, in fact I did hardly anything & they did everything and the fee was €90  (other people shared the car journey). Many people on this forum have sought there help and will share my recommendation.

Hope this helps a bit..... Spanish bureaucracy is  still a nightmare when you've lived here  years so don't despair.

Cheers
