Hello everyone
I’ve recently bought a property in Villena. Hopefully travel will get easier and I can gradually spend more time there.
I’m doing the house up and still getting to know the town, so would welcome advice as to where to source things, both new and second hand.
I’d also like to know more about what’s going on, best places to socialise, with both locals and ex-pats
Any ideas, info gratefully appreciated

I was over recently, hopefully back for a few days at the end of the month.
the house is on the edge of the twin.

Hi Val
We have had a house outside Villena for 15 years, intending permanent but still non resident so 90 days visits only. There has been an influx of new people buying in the area recently so you will get to meet many more now. Are you north or south of town, we are north off the road to Caudete. In the past there has been little action in gatherings by expats unless you live in Las Vertudes where there are a lot of Brits. Are you planning on moving permanent shortly? We are coming over end of August for 90 days, so maybe we can meet up then. Good luck with your renovations.

My house is near Atalaya castle, so presuming, north west? Sorry all very new so not got the geography totally sorted yet 😅
At the moment a holiday home, I still work, but who knows in the future.
Would certainly be lovely to keep in touch and meet up if we’re there at the same time.
