I would like to buy some nice, hand-made knives in Albacete directly from the craftsman who made them (to give out as gifts to my friends). Maybe even arrange a custom order.
Unfortunately, I don't speak much Spanish so if anyone can recommend a craftsman or a shop where they speak at least basic English, I would be thankful.
Also looking to purchase some cutlery.

Toledo is really the place for knives.  It has been the Spanish economic base for swords and knives.

Toledo is where ornamental knives are made, but Albacete is the Sheffield of Spain.

Good luck, J

Hi there,

I have a neighbour who makes knives, any kind of knife or even sword, and has in fact made an imitation Scottish sword for a Scottish lady I know. He is really good and passionate about his work.  He also sells knives from other parts of the world, including Toledo.

You can find him in the Caudete Rastro (covered market) at weekends, from 10am to 2pm with a selection of his wares. He does speak English.

If you come to the Rastro, ask for me (Janice) at the Rastro cafeteria and they will show you where I am, so I can take you to our Knife King! Although you will probably see him on entering the market.

Good luck.
