If the electric is off in your house only take a look at your fuse box/supply box, its quite common for these to trip in Spain, flick of a switch is all thats required to turn it back on, though it may happen again, no doubt someone will explain the potencia rating.

Hi there thanks for your response we’ve checked the trip and that’s still on we was wondering if it was something to do with the winds last night all was well until about 9.30. Does electric trip outside your property ???

I suggest 1st, (if you have´nt done already), discover if this is a problem unique to your property or in the vicinity. V

If you have used more power than your property is contracted for then the fuse will trip at the mains, not inside your house. There will be a separate box with the mains fuse in it and the fuse box will, generally, be a smart meter.

If you live on a community then your president should have a key to the cabinet where it is kept so you can reset it. If not, you need to contact your electricity supplier who will either send someone to reset it or do it remotely depending on the system. Your bill will have a contact number or you can look up the help line on the internet.

Most properties nowadays have a 5.75kw rating which allows you to go up to 25 amps. Previously this was only 3.3kw which only allows 15 amps which can be easily exceeded with modern equipment. Kettles, toasters and hair dryers seem to be the worst offenders.

Check on your bill what power rating you have. If 3.3 then you may need to contact your provider to increase this.
