Just arrived after a 2yr absence and our quad LNB has developed a fault. Thankfully 2outputs are ok but 2 no signal. Also the 15yr cable has suffered a break somewhere internally and has many outer breaks due to the sun so needs replacing. Who serves the Villena area best, did get guy from La Romana 10+yrs ago but wondered if any other newer satellite engineers more local to Villena. Thanks for any info

Regards

Pauline

Hi Pauline,

Welcome back!

As you know there are several people/firms advertising that they do this type of work but very few will actually come to our area.

The only one who did was Jim Davies from Pinoso but I was unsuccessful recently in getting an answer from him.

I will give you his contact details and keep my fingers crossed that he answers you.

E-mail: [email protected]. Phone: +34 653 98 38 03.

Good luck. There might be someone in Caudete but I have yet to discover his name!

Janice

Hi Janice

Knew there,d be problems (mainly weeds!) being away so long, but over 50 brugmansia trees(angel trumpets) pretty but toxic and some grown to 20ft+. Been working hard for a week trying to get rid of them, done about half. Had 1st one in 2021,(I think it came with the gravel) got rid but must have spread seeds everywhere since.

I,ll try the sat guy, thankfully we have 1 lot of signal but other one dead. We like to watch different things, thank God footy over! I,ve put a post on Costa Calida forum hopefully to catch people from Yecla and Caudete. You,re the only person to answer with a suggestion so thanks for that.

Hope things are good with you and your daughter, we,ll visit the rastro soon and see you there.

Pauline.

It’ll be nice to see you, Pauline.

Sometimes there are people who come into the Caudete Rastro who are well-versed in the satellite subject and may be able to help or give you some suggestions.

Come and have a coffee and pick people’s brains! 😂😂😂

Additionally, I may have some interesting news/proposals for you!

See you soon,

Janice

Well Janice, you have me intrigued with your last sentence. If we dont make it this weekend then the following one for definite.

Btw Valerie? sent me a reply regarding my other post regarding the need for a recommended garage that can take our car for its ITV(expired 2 yrs ago). We cant drive it there ourselves. I,ve never met her yet as she cancelled meet up, dont know if you are friends with her. I,m in no rush for it might ask Andy at rastro, as we brought our car over anyway.

Mmm interresting news? You got me!

Pauline x

Hi Pauline,

We have finally found a decent mechanic at the Autodoper garage in Villena. He prepared our cars for the ITV. I took my car to one of the Yecla ITV stations however as I didn’t need to book with them ages in advance. However you are going to need your vehicle picked up as it won’t be allowed to drive on the road as you mention. I’m sure these people will be able to arrange it for you.

Andy at the Rastro is having mobility problems at the moment and his wife is currently in a wheelchair having broken her leg. In fact, I have been opening up the Rastro for a few weekends.

Not sure which Valerie you mean - there are two or three called Valerie that I know of.  One is a lovely lady who lives in Caudete but I’m not sure she is on this forum.

I’ll write to you privately about the ‘mystery’ subject!

See you soon,

Janice
