Just received an email regarding the change of tariff reprogramming of our smart meter being done 17th June. Can anyone tell me if we get to keep our day and night tariff or do we have to request it because it will change to standard tariff on reprogramming. We are in Uk and don't think we will be going over before September hopefully. Since having the smart meter our bills dramatically dropped from 30€ month when not there to 20€ and under (latest 17.67) leaving fridge freezer on only. Just don't want to see this rise to what it was before. Tia for any info.

Regards

Pauline

All of the existing tariffs are being replaced with a new pricing structure, once your smart meter has been reprogrammed there will be three different rates

Monday to Friday

Midnight to 8am   Off peak

8am to 10am   Super off peak

10am to 2pm.  Peak

2pm to 6pm   Super off peak

6pm to 10pm. Peak

10pm to midnight Super Off Peak

All weekend and National Holidays will be off peak 24 hours per day

Many thanks Mush 😉

So will we have the option to switch to alternative contracts?  (Personally, the regime you've described would actually suit me better than the Plan Noche I already have.)

Kind regards,

Kim

As far as I am aware all contracts upto 15kw will have this new pricing structure.

Will these be the summer times as now, so in October need to go back an hour? Seem very reasonable, especially off peak weekends and 4hrs in the afternoon.Let's hope the rates haven't risen too much. Thankyou for that info.

The times will remain the same 365 days of the year.  There will be no changes in March or October
