Hello, I have been holidaying in La Sella for the past 10 years and think it is a wonderful place. I have just returned today from a lovely two weeks in a villa near the golf course. My children and I discovered a small colony of up to 6 cats/ kittens living near the golf course (I can give exact details). They are terribly thin and helpless really and we took pity and fed them twice a day. These cats are too timid to come into gardens to cause mess , all they need is feeding once/ day and they deserve that.

I was wondering whether anyone was already their caretaker or if not would anyone be willing? We are so worried about them, surely they can’t be left to die?

I do understand that there are many of these colonies all over Spain but I also know that many have human caretakers.

Please, can anyone help? I can send money for food!

I'm new to La Sella, I wondered if anyone has a local Taxi number that works through the day (not just in the evening). 

I am needing to travel into Denia.

Hello. We are thinking about purchasing a home with a separate guest apartment sometime in the near future somewhere in the La Sella or Monte Pego area. We enjoy many outdoor activities (although golf is not one of them) and find this area very appealing. Does anyone know if we would be required to pay Housing Association or Community fees if the house is located away from the golf course and the property has a private pool. Secondly, is a license required if we plan on renting out only the separate guest apartment? I realize we would need a car to live in either location but we were planning on that anyway. My wife and I are both European and are looking forward to our retirement in Spain. Looking forward to hearing from you and getting to know some of the people there. This would eventually become our permanent residence. Thanks in advance for your answers.

We have at last booked some flights to come over and furnish our new house in La Sella which has been stood empty since October.  In the meantime, we want to order some beds from Ikea.  Just wondered if there is anyone on here that offers a pick-up and delivery service for IKEA, I'm sure in one of my last posts someone said they did but can't seem to find it anywhere!  There would be 3 bed frames (obviously flat packed) and 3 mattresses (which are usually rolled).

Hi all.  We live in Ireland and are thinking of purchasing a holiday home in La Sella.  We have 3 young children from 7 to 13 years and were wondering if La Sella is a good base for winter-sun family holidays?  We would intend using the holiday home typically in the months of October through March and may potentially look to rent out the property during peak season.  Would this idea sound feasible and would there be many fees associated with having a holiday home in such an area?  Finally, would we need a car bearing the above requirements in mind?  Thanks in advance for your help!

We have a house in La Sella which we have recently bought. It is currently empty until we can get over and it will be used as a holiday home.

our question is regarding the electricity - currently with Iberdrola and it just seems awfully expensive - the charge for an empty house is just short of €30 per month. Just wondered if this was normal or if we need to look at changing suppliers?

Hi, we are completing on a house purchase tomorrow in La Sella.  Just wondered if anyone has used the Ikea store in Ondara and if so how it works?  Do you order online and then get it delivered or do you order it in the store and pick up from store.  (We are in the UK at the moment and not sure when we will be coming over, due to quarantine rules!)
