Hello Everybody

I am new to the site & this is my first post!

I am intending to buy an old house (part ruin between Sax Alicante & Salinas.)

Could anybody recommend a good local property lawyer who could oversee the sale & also where is the appropriate place is locally to obtain an NEI number.

Any related info on buying property in the area would be very much appreciated.

I am a builder /electrician hoping to live & work part time here (Brexit permitting!)

Hi Kevin. I'm in the process of buying an old town house in the old quarter of Sax! My Agent is a good honest man Mark Steadman who has Fincas in the region of Sax. Try Carlos Cantos in Villena. English speaking and as straight as an arrow. he works for a fixed fee. Some estate agents help with things like NIE. Mine took me to the police station in Elda and guided me through the process. He is called Steve at Fabfincas.

Thanks so much for replying to my message!

I have found the property I want to buy & have paid a holding deposit. It is between Sax Alicante & Salinas.

I'm looking for a local property lawyer to oversea the sale

I am in Spain near Córdoba at the moment & will be driving home at he weekend, probably through Sax on Saturday

Ref your NIE, I've looked at the national police website, and it looks as if you'd need to travel down to Alicante or up to Alcoy to find an office that does NIEs.

If in the UK you're anywhere near a Spanish consulate, it might be easier to do it through them.
