Thanks for the info can you stay in touch please and what solicitors did you use might do that thanks. Might be coming in November if possible and stay on or February depending.

I used "Express Legal Solicitors" to do everything for us to become fully lawful residents including sorting out all taxation requirements.

The firm belongs to two English ladies and is based in Albir. Look them up on the internet.

Hi Tebo, We took your advice and contacted these Solicitors. I'm afraid to say that it will cost a lot more than the 300 Euros that you have quoted on here. We have just received our NIE Numbers with help from them, but it cost us 85 Euros Each, just for this service. Don't get me wrong, they seem like good respectable friendly people and we will continue to use them for the rest of our Residency Application. They haven't given us a Total price for the whole application, but they said they would Bill us for each Separate " Step " in the Application, so we are expecting a much higher total Bill than 300 Euros   Regards.....  Chris

Hi Tebo, I'm afraid that all this has gone " right over my head " . Does this mean that when my wife and I finally become Residents soon, that we wont have to pay for Private Medical Care or Pay for the Convenio Especial  ?  Thanks....  Chris

I suggest reading the local newspaper - first 2 inside pages in the Valencia newspaper today - available online also usually for free here in Spain or calling your local INSS for the "word from the horses mouth" instead of hearsay on forums or "feel good" english websites who rely on clicks to satisfy their advertisers or google to pay them...

What about calling or going to the Spanish consulate? We both got our NIE numbers and loads of info before we moved thru ours.

Again, information from the "horses mouth".

Hi, yes it cost us about €300 for both of us but that was 4 years ago so it will be a little more now. I guess they made it easy though to get your NIE? They will now get your residencia and sort your healthcare along with filling out all the Spanish forms and doing the translation. They will give you all the advice you need and meet you at the relevant location to sign forms etc. As you are a couple they will do everthing at a reduced rate. Then you both will be fully legal residents,  easy eh. To my mind that's got to be worth double!!

Hi Steve, Yes I know they will Guide us through the whole Process, because they have explained that to us, but I was just trying to tell people that the whole process will cost much more than 300 Euros and very likely much more than Double that amount. Having said that I think that will be money well spent, because we really wouldn't be able to do it all on our own. Regards...… Chris
