I apologise in advance if this is a really stupid question, but does anyone else have the ‘damp laundry’ problem at this time of year? Or does everyone now have a tumble drier in the winter months? Try as I might, it seems to be damp and doesn’t dry properly - am sick of damp socks/towels/u...

...ndies and everything else. Anything ironed doesn’t air dry either. I understood driers are a question financially here of the running cost. We dont have central heating, so the house itself is chilly except sitting room with wood burner - but I really can’t have it all draped around!!! Any thoughts welcome!!!

Yes tumble driers are needed here in Spain I personally don't have space for one but I take my washing  to one of these  lavamatics to dry stuff talked 30 minutes and very cheap

Yes, I have used a lavamatic once, but we live at least 15 km from the nearest one in the depths of the campo, so unfortunately it’s not really practical for regular use!

Thank you for your advice. I am thinking about buying one in uk and shipping it- I have found at this time of year stuff stays damp.

I have just bought a 4kg dryer for £199 and find it invaluable.
