I leave uk 2/5/22 and was wondering if I need any advice on driving to Alicante. It’s my first time driving through Spain and I am on my own. I am looking to live and rent a property or caravan to start with till I find the right area. I have an Irish passport so I am guessing the 90 day rule doesn’t apply does it?  I want to start a new life in a new area. I have retired so am not looking for work. Any advice would be much appreciated.

I find it easier to stop overnight in a hotel outside Madrid as its 7 to 8 hours journey. Go on booking. Com most hotels are about 40 to 50 euros. Look for one close to the main highway so no detours and its about a 3 to 4 hour drive then same next day and you are refreshed. Much easier than trying get there same day when only one driver.
