Hi

Has anyone got direct or indirect recent experience of crossing the border by road from France to Spain? Say March 2022 onwards, when France eased restrictions.

I saw some travel advisory website saying that anyone entering France by any border crossing must be able to prove that they are either vaccinated, recovered or have a negative test if unvaccinated and that road border spot checks may occur.

The various French Government websites (and there are a few) give sometimes conflicting advice but seem so mostly focus on airports and ferry ports.

Any recent experiences would be most welcome.

Thanks for reading this.

Hi, we recently crossed the Spanish/ French border on March 13th going through the tunnel du Somport and no border patrols seen anywhere. We had our proof of Covid vaccinations however did not have to show them anywhere. Masks were and still are mandatory on Brittany Ferries in public places. Have a safe trip when you go.

A friend of mine traveled to Valencia on Friday and wasn't stopped crossing the border only asked about vacations when he arrived at Folkestone to catch the Chunnel.

Came through at Irun last Wednesday.

No routine stops or checks in place, but customs did have one vehicle off to the side and looked to be giving it a good going over.

Crossed from Spain to France at the Somport Tunnel in the Pyrenees on 23rd April. No customs or border control personnel on either side.
