Hi Denia is quietly upmarket and the best place to be along that part of the coast.

Shhh! Don't advertise this...

Thanks everyone.  To clarify:  We already have legal Spanish residency, and already hold stable full time jobs that we can do remotely.

@martyn1986 I understand from your comment that you believe there would be more expats (no necessarily British) in our age range in Javea than in Denia?  What's everyone else's take on this?...

...

Thanks a lot for your help!

Yes theres all different nationalities there but if you prefer just english there are alot more than dania. Personally for visiting for a day or 2 i would pick dania but for living i would choose javier, me and my wife are both 34 and theres loads of people there our age but also people who are early retired, semi retired or fully retired. Much more relaxed

Yes this is my experience too.
I’m 49 & come over to Denia several times a year as my parents have a villa up on Montgo.

I always go out in Javea as I have a good friend there & there are many more Brits our age there to socialise with.

It’s an amazing part of Spain & Javea is only a 25 minutes drive from Denia, so I’d say go for it.

I’m next over in May (hopefully), so if you’ve relocated by then, let’s go out for a drink.

Denia is full of young people, just look in the streets or see the age distribution piramid. Spanish mostly, but like me 30-40 who telework or start businesses. The advantage of living near or in the town you have all in walking distance. And shops! Did I say shops? Amazon lockers too...

Javea, yes if you want to walk 7km to the beach and uphill going back. We enjoy the casual day in Javea and are glad we don't live in such a place. It's more holiday resort style, Denia is were people really live, run businesses and you have shops for all your needs not just handbags or suncream. Javea is of course full of UK people, if you want to play bridge or get drunk in a pub that's of course the place to be...not judging. As it's Madrid Beach, it's quit upmarket indeed.

There is also Knowhere denia, a telework place which can provide you with a network.

Ben, a Belgian stranded here by covid. Got a roof and sunny terrace now, next planning on changing the telework to more spanish/international. Just DM me, would be nice to know people in same age group.
