... it BUT when we try to scan the QR code we only get 30 lines of numbers and letters, so we are afraid that in case we want to cross the border this will NOT work as a vaccination passport and that we will be refused to cross the border.

Hello,

You will not be able to scan the qr code on the certificate, only authorized people, i.e. border/customs have the app/ programm to make sense of it, otherwise there would be no confidentiality.

Is there a way of getting a paper version? I've no proof of vaccine and I have a British phone so I can't even put my phone number into the system.

Hi, yes I have. It's very easy as long as you have a SIP card as you need to pop your card number and start date in the fields. Once done it will then send an authorisation code to the phone number registered and once done the form is there for you to save and print off
