Hello Kim,

Thank you for all that, that's very helpful. Quite a lot of those I had already looked into! So I'm feeling quite chuffed, lol. I don't have a car, so won't have to worry about that at the moment. I think I'd be a bit wary of driving in Spain, with them driving on the other side of the road to us.

Pilar de la Horadada & San Pedro del Pinatar as other places we'd looked at, so I may give them a miss.

I have already built up a good rapport with an estate agent, so will probably stick with them, but thanks for the recommendation.

Take care,

Jenny X

Hello Josephine,

Well it's taken a while - useless estate agent - but I've finally sold the house. The estate agent said to aim for everything going through by Christmas, so it may still be a while before I pop over to Spain, but things are finally happening. 😊

Josephine, I know you have a car, but not whether you may have rented one in the first instance.  Do you happen to know how much it costs per day to rent an  MPV?, it would need to seat 6/7 people.  I'm asking for my daughter-in-law as she says it's really expensive.

Hi Kim,

Hope you are well.

I will bear what you said about estate agents in mind. I have been in touch with one in Los Alcazares, she works for es properties & seems nice & helpful.

I have finally sold my house, the estate agent said to aim for everything going through by Christmas time, so it will still be a while until I can pop out to Spain.

Once I am there & settled though, I will of course help anyone on here that I can. I haven't been on here for the past couple of weeks as I've been trying to sort & process a lot of stuff, but once I'm there, I will try to be on the forum more often.

Take care,

Jenny

Hi, I have only ever hired a car when I came over for short trips.  I used Firefly from Alicante Airport a lot.  The price varied according to season.  Most of the time I drove over in my car as I always
