On a more positive note, some friends of ours, both early 60's have had their calls/text message for the Astra jab next week in Torre. They live at Torremendo, and my wife, 63, has just had her text message confirming her first jab on Tuesday, also Astra in Elche.

Apparently they are targeting the 55-65 with the Astra jab, for what reason I have no idea, however you must be registered with your local medical centre with an up to date SIP card....

...

We are residents here with private health care so needed to register with the health centre, which we did a couple of weeks ago with padron (within 3 months) and TIE/residency certificate. They gave us a temporary SIP card purely for the registration of the jab.

That is great news for you, and I hope all goes well for you.

You won’t be allowed a vaccine on returning to the UK for a holiday, unless you are in the UK healthcare system and book one in advance iaw current UK procedures. There are many people in the UK patiently waiting here in line to be called forward for their vaccination, so simply coming back to ...

...the UK and getting a vaccination is not a simple option

That's not true aĺl uk passport holders are able without restriction to access the uk health system therefore before you go back now you much have a p.c.r test fill in avocation form and get you relation to register you with the local  doctor . And you will have to stay at last 6 weeks after the 1st jab and 3 weeks avmfter the second your relation just say to the doctors that you are back for a long time and have not been vaccinated.  They are now taking about vaccinations foreign truck drivers in some parts of the UK but they must have p.c.r test 1st . So just get signed on most illegals do so why not you .

Thats right, go ahead and tell outright lies to circumvent procedures and justify it by saying illegals do so why dont I.

Such crass justification beggars belief.

This is factually incorrect - the NHS is residency based, it is not passport based.

Ribbed ? Haha ha. At least try to spell properly. Rather like officer Crabtree in Allo Allo.

For your information I have never "ribbed" (assuming you mean robbed) to benefit myself. One can only assume that you feel it is acceptable to lie and deceive in order to achieve your aims. Mmmmmm.

By the way, how is Angel the Senior Officer at the Guardia Civil Post in San Miguel de Salinas and is Jose still serving in The Policia Local Station by the traffic lights on the way in there ?

Why?

Thank you John

Martyn1986, asked a perfectly legitimate question all he wanted was a legitimate and  reasonable answer. I don’t think he wanted to be lectured and insulted by the health and residencia police.
