Thank you. I left the UK young but i still had a career there and paid massive amounts if taxs because i was on a good wage, i also still have family there and visit there often. I wanted UK to stay part of europe not leave it.

The ones that still live in the uk pay massive amounts of taxes, you opted out years ago so have not paid anything to the uk for years and I think if the tables were turned you would be very quick to say no to someone coming to Spain just for non urgent healthcare. The guy that said you were taking the p.. is totally right.

In terms of whether it's possible to book a vaccine in the UK I think much of it depends on whether you still have an NHS patient number. I ran through the online booking system over there a month or so back after getting a text and if you don't know your patient number you have to enter your nam...

...e and date of birth along with your post code, from what I can remember, as registered. I backed out f the process after clearing data checks but before booking an actual vaccine my curiosity having been satisfied.

I left the UK 8 months or so ago.

Whether it's the right thing to do is another matter :)

Its not the right thing to do if your Spanish resident then wait in spain

And on whats the right thing to do there are lots of British people here really disrespect this country I've seen first hand how they act when they are here, there are also people who have lived here 20/30years and never paid into spanish system and yet take full advantage of it. When uk was part of europe the tax we paid tax in spain which covered health care all over Europe including the UK so i ask because I have done my bit. But you're entitled to your opinion. I can also guarantee that there are people here waiting to do the same.

I'm going to try and avoid polemic in this:

When you become resident in a different country having left the UK, you are meant to de-register from your local GP. This is because the NHS and associated support is residency based except in very narrow circumstances:

https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/healthcare-abroad/moving-abroad/planning-your-healthcare/#:~:text=If%20you're%20moving%20abroad,removed%20from%20the%20NHS%20register.

https://www.nhs.uk/using-the-nhs/healthcare-abroad/moving-abroad/planning-your-healthcare/

I think you should expect to receive the vaccine in your country of residence at the pace that that country is rolling out the vaccine.

In short, you're not eligible in the UK - whether you paid taxes in the past is irrelevant because that is not the way the NHS provides its services (and the NHS is managing the UK vaccine roll-out)

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

First of all an absolutely massive THANK YOU for your years of service i have massive admiration for all military personnel.

For the rest of comment thank you for also understanding my point of view and respecting it the was one cowardly opinionated person who wasnt as respectful. I was only asking because i do work with expats who actually suggested it to me and are planning on hopefully doing the same, i dont believe in taking advantage of anyone or any service but in the case of pandemic i dont see the harm in going elsewhere to get the vaccine which will hopefully end this sooner so that people can get back to there homes abroad and holidays. I respect the fact that people may not agree with my opinion but i should be allowed to ask a question without (as previously stated) cowardly comments.

Yes my point about doctors in the UK was completely overlooked, because people go the UK illegally and are seen before UK citizens when my friends and family have to get a phone call, my nabour died because the doctor wouldnt give her an appointment said he call her and she was so weak that walking downstairs at 74 years old made her collaspe amd she died on a cold floor.... alone. Her and her husband have paid millions into the NHS.

I have the answer i need now. Thank you for taking your time to reply. Have an excellent day 😁😁😁😁
