Hi All, Moving to Benidorm this August 22nd for 3 months minimum, Few questions if anyone could help us out

Where is best to live, we like lively and want a modern place with around £1600 per month budget If you know anyone please point us in their direction

Need to buy a PC monitor any recommendations?

Any common mistakes you made when moving that we should avoid ?

We are not bringing anything large with us, just clothes so we need somewhere furnished , Looked at air bnb but wondered if anywhere better

Thanks Guys

Hi,

I've lived in Benidorm for 9 years and it's a great place to live.

However, im assuming you are a UK passport holder, if that is correct the you can't come over for more than 90 days in any rolling 180 days. So your 3 month minimum stay needs to be reassessed.

If you want to stay in Benidorm any longer you will need to apply for a visa and prove income and healthcare to the Spanish consulate in the UK.

You can buy a computer monitor from Carrefour or Media Markt both shops are at Finestrat. Benidorm is very limited for computer shops, you might find one in the old town but anything of that nature is likely to be expensive here.

You might be struggling to find short term holiday lets at this short notice but if you go on the "Think Spain" website you normally find sea front apartments for a similar price.

Plus "this August" is actually now. The most expensive time of the year for rentals where places going for 500 euro a month go up to 500 euro a week or more. Most places will already be booked as tourism is reaching record levels at the moment. The only ones left could be the ones nobody wanted.

Do AirBNB do long rentals? I know Booking.com only do a maximum of 30 days.

Before buying anything at Media Markt be aware of their return policies, my personal experience is discouraging. Carrefour is ok. Instead of a monintor think ina smart TV of same or similar size. The price difference is negligent.

You can use the calendars on AirBnB (or other listing platforms such as VRBO) to check availability over a long period and message the owner through the platform to ask about a long term rental rate.  You can then book the first week through AirBnB and extend the stay direct with the owner (assuming you like it that is) so you don't pay enormous booking fees.  AirBnB etc. listings normally offer a very substantial reduction for a stay of at least a month anyway, in case you value the 'security' that comes with their booking fees.
