l am planning on buying a property on Costa Blanca in March and retiring there permanently (l am female 62)  l am trying to understand the income required possibly 2400€ pm. Does this income have to be earned in Spain ?  Or can my net  income from uk  (£2078 pm )be used towards the 2400€ ?   l will be having a Spanish income within 2 months of moving out.  (l apologise if this question has been covered already...l just cant find it)  Thanks in advance.

It will probably help if you have a look at Jim’s Guides on this site.

You do not currently need to prove any income if you have had savings in a Spanish bank of €7000 for at least 3 months or €14,000 for a couple.

I have an Irish passport, when I      apply for residencia will my income requirement remain at 750€ per month after 1/1/21? My husband who has British passport will he be required to prove the 2500€?

Mary
