Hi

We bought our villa beginning of June and have not received a water bill as yet 😬. How often am I meant to be billed ?? I know they have all our bank details for direct debit 🤔

Unfortunatly, time is against you. Drop by their office and find out, the sooner the better.

Hi Runwilde,

Assuming you're on mains water (and not agricultural water), your supplier should bill you every three months.  As part of your lawyer's service, they should have set up the direct debits for your services, e.g. water, electricity, IBI (Council tax) and Basura (rubbish), if the latter item isn't included in your water bill.

As part of the completion process, your abogado (lawyer) should check that all outstanding bills are paid up to date by the vendor, but even if the vendor paid a bill in June, you should have received the next one in September.  If you know who your supplier is, you could ask at your local office, but you may find it easier to start with your lawyer.

Kind regards,

Kim
