Hi Monkey, that is two of the very big worrying  questions on many peoples minds.

Getting to grips with the virus has to be top job for the Authorities , that goes without saying , and they are attempting just that, but after the end of this month more detailed news needs announcing on the Spanish Economic recovery plan....

I for one will support my favourite restaurants, providing they survive this.

Can't wait to get dressed up and go out for a meal with my husband. I feel 90 I must look 110, so getting my hair done and going out is just what I need.

Madrid just voted for an extra 14 days after 26th April so well into May before it's even looked at again. Found the link somewhere but 10th May is the new date.

This was just an 'INVITATION' by the EU and has not been implemented.   As mentioned above by RayD the extension to the 26th April was only confirmed by government yesterday as per the following translation which I took from the N332 Facebook page:

But alas I can see no chance it will be lifted this month. We're looking at 10th May at the very least. Death rate needs to come down to under 50/day (depends on how you count the tally as this is disputed) and on the current curve I would say this is looking to mid-June at the earliest but this is my opinion.

I'm with you there, but the other person to whom I was replying had said 'Madrid just voted for an extra 14 days after 26th April' which was not right.   It is going to take an awfully long time to get things back to normal, whatever 'normal' will be!
