That does not surprise me at all, no idea why so many people are having blood tests we had some blood tests there late 2019, my husbands results were fine but there was a problem with my liver which was picked up by the test, I had an ultra sound scan in June 2020, but have not been able to speak to anyone about the result. I think they must get a few Euros for each test they do from the Valencian authorities.

We are going next week to book for booster. Dont want the flu jab, but looking at when you are getting yours the winter will be over!

No idea why so many people are having blood tests (if they are), but it’s nothing to do with covid booster jabs, or flu jabs? . Incidentally, you should also have your flu jab if it’s offered. The new strain of corona virus is going to make things difficult from now on, for us all.  No reported cases in the UK as yet, but it’s inevitable. A couple in Europe, so let’s see. Personally I don’t panic, nor make knee jerk reactions, but do remain sensible and don’t drop my guard. There are so many idiots who think it’s all over and all is back to normal, it’s never going back to normal. We must all use common sense and be as careful as possible. Again, why Spain is now behind with booster vaccinations, I have no answer to that.  So far Spain has done well, but things can change overnight. Boosters are totally necessary, and will make all the difference. Until we need the next one ! most likely modified, but it’s an ongoing situation.

Same with me. The day after I was 70, a month ago, I made an appointment for flu ,+ booster..Dec 29 th, told them I have asthma and other things but wouldn't change date, in San Miguel. My friends in Almoradi are 67, were given flu jabs this week + told booster jabs very soon. I am going to pay for the flu Jab, other wise won't be covered until mid Jan.

Also on the 3rd Nov 1 million booster jabs had been given  now 27th Nov 4 million jabs given  just under 7 million over 70s in Spain  so only 3  million to go  so why are people getting appointments for march .. doesn't make sense ... perhaps we will get a call bringing our dates forward

Hello

Your location says Almoradi, I'm wondering why you didn't go to that clinic  where your friends went?

Cheers

One of the reasons for such late appointments at Cabo Roig clinic is because they are not giving the over 70's their flu jab and covid booster together like the rest of Valencia.  There are notices up in the centre saying that patients must get a blood test and an ECG once a year and to make an appointment with the nurse.  This might answer the question why so many are having blood tests.
