Hi guys in light of the recent changes coming into force fromn4th Oct ..do I still need a pcr test 48hours b4 I leave Spain for the UK???

Hi If you are leaving before 4am on 4th October you still need a pre departure Covid test. The test doesn’t need to be a PCR a cheaper antigen test will suffice and needs to be taken in the 3 days before you travel to England.

If your travel plans are after 4am on 4th October you no longer require a pre departure test to enter ENGLAND

You don’t have to have a PCR test now, if you’ve been double jabbed in the UK. After 4th Oct no test needed before flying, but day 2 test still required, suggestions are that this will not be a PCR test and will be a cheaper lateral flow antigen test.

Note: these rules are for those who have had their 2 vaccinations in the UK by the NHS, somebody else should be able to advise on the rules for those who have had their jabs in Spain or elsewhere?
