Do not rent from Gold car
I was recently rented a car in Alicante airport from Gold car when we arrived it was late 11pm so went to the desk and got the usual nonsense from the the person behind the desk about taking out there car insurance which I declined as it was very expensive they told me to check the car and make sure there was no scratches above 50mm ,there where a few small chips and scrapes from what I could see as it was pitch dark in the carpark so I had to use my torch on my phone it was late and I was tired so just I just checked it out quickly the next morning I checked it over in the day light and noticed a very small scrape on the rim of the wheel which I did not do to it and didn't think much of it. I dropped the car back 2 weeks later after a great holiday and then I got an email the next day to say I had put a scrape on the rim of the wheel and are charging me €100 I rang them and complained and they told me to file a complaint on the website so I did I recieved and email a few days later to say that I was still get charged the money there the worst car hire company I have delt with Spain
