Hi Kim,
We had a bar in Benalmadena Costa 1984-1988 a work permit with our nie number .
When i went to the police office in Elche in 2018 I thought that all the previous paperwork I had would have run out.
The officer who was checking our new application asked me into the private office and asked me if I had lived and worked in Spain before,I said yes and explained,he said you already have a work permit and an nie number.
From leaving for the UK in 1988 we have returned to Spain rented long term many times.
