Your guess is as good as anyone's, my feeling is that the restrictions will still be in place for travelling across borders at least. Just my feeling nothing concrete to back it up.

Hi Sharon, and welcome to the Forum.

The end of July is a good Three and a half months away from present . Events have moved so rapidly this past month that there is every chance the position regarding restrictions will have altered by then.

How,  and in what way, things will have altered is impossible to predict, but it is important to be optimistic.

It is generally agreed, here, that measures to reduce Virul  contamination by curbing free movement in Public places, including beaches and between Bars, Restaurants and other places of entertainment will be in place ,in some measure and some form for an unknown period of time , and as that form of movement is a large part of the activity enjoyed by Vistors to Spain, then the best answer that can be given is to follow the events from the end of this month and make your plans based on Government advice.

I know that is a very vague reply but more simply put. ' Nobody knows yet.

Hi,

The first question is  when flights and unrestricted travel in and out of Ireland and UK be available?  Because if you can't fly in and out the question of if Spain has holidays it is irrelevant.

Regards

Vivienne

I fully agree with Nicola

There is a predicted second wave of infection following any relaxation of the current restrictions, if Countries opened their borders the effects would  be compounded.

It could be at least 6 months before anyone considers opening their borders in my opinion.

Probably so they have some cash flow, think they are leading their customers a merry dance. The new bookings wont be refunded for months. Just my opinion.

Nicola, agree, Until everyone is sure & safety first, there is a high probability of at least one occurrence,& now those "experts" are number-crunching, of how likely an event is to occur or how likely it is that a proposition is true.

This is only four weeks in. lockdown-wise, and infection rate possibly a lot longer. Any "spike" or "plateau" will therefore have to follow it´s downward trend quite substantially before relaxing (even partially) the state of alarm. 1st possibly allowing distancing in public for exercise.

According for those heading down from Madrid this weekend  on "observing the lockdown" thread news reports, we don´t need any more tourists or more virus´s

We may wait til after summer. jajaja.

Jet2 refunded me within a week of cancelling my flight at beginning of March. Not sure what they are doing now, but I was surprised I didn't need to ask for it or chase... It just happened automatically. I was pleasantly surprised.

Hi my flight for 5th May was cancelled by Jet2 last week with a full refund. The first booking on their website is for June 17th onwards.
