Hi

Can anyone recommend a good english speaking company that can assist us calculate /paying our local non resident taxes? We are new to this and live in the Cabo Roig area?  Have you any idea of what the likely charges are for these services ie what should we expect to pay in taxes and fees for the service? Thanks so much!

I don'y know what you mean by local taxes. Apart from utility bills, the only local charge is IBI (council tax). If you didn't set up a direct debit as part of the purchase process, you'll receive an invoice, probably in August. You can then pay at one of the collaborating banks mentioned on the invoice. The invoice will also have a reference number which you can use to access the SUMA website and set up a direct debit.

Non-resident tax isn't local; it's payable to Agencia Tributaria (the Spanish Inland Revenue). Browse the Taxes in Costa Blanca forum for information. It's payable annually in arrears, can be done at any time during the year, is based on the cadastral value of your property, and you can do it online through an agent for £29.95:
