Hi all, I am renting an apartment in calpe later in the year. The advert had the tourist licence number on it. Since sending a deposit, I have seen the advert on someone else page but with a different licence number.
My question is where can I go to check the licence numbers.

This is the link to the official regional register Viviendas Turísticas – Datos Abiertos (gva.es)
If you have the 6 digit number (ie VT-123456-A) choose the Signatura option, enter the number in the box after VT, choose Alacant from the drop down options in the next box and click Buscar. A page will come up with the license details - the date issued, the address of the property, the maximum number of guests permitted (includes all ages) and a few other details.
You can then go to googlemaps/earth and enter the address to look and see if the photos of the property advertised matches the one at the address on the License for that number.
Finally do an internet search on the number to bring up the internet history of the License number - that number is exclusive to one property, so should always be the property shown on the License register. If something doesn't match then you have cause to be concerned.
I check license numbers all the time for a book-direct-with-owner facebook page I'm an admin on, where we only agree to have verified properties post and comment with their checked license number, so if you would like me to run the checks for just private message me details.
