First week ended

A lot of time this week spent on making sure everyone have the same information, to avoid anyone waiting for someone.

Today I was surprised to receive a message that yet another plumber will arrive tomorrow.

I choose to see this as a positive sign.

My insurance agent has so far not answered questions.

We will see going forward.

8. day

Leak stopped

Read through insurance policy again, and sent formal letter regarding claim.

Hopefully this ends first fase.

First month

The insurance agency turns out to be the obstacle. This agency just can't be bothered it seems.

After sending the inspector/plumber promptly as they should (contact via WhatsApp) they have been evasive. Very frustrating.   Weeks of avoidance, wondering if they bother to even read e-mails, because when they finally responded,  they asked about information already e-mailed, and enclosed in the tread. And of course, after information was repeated, still no action.

I am considering contacting my insurance company head quarter and ask for a transfer to another agent, because agent's avoidance is not acceptable to me, and I have been less than satisfied previously as well. No point in having an agent that won't do the job. No idea how transfer of agents can be done in Spain, but have to do something, or my bathroom roof will never be repaired.

Anyone successfully changed insurance agent in Spain? If so, how did you go about it?

Any other advice on how to get things moving is also appreciated.

@Lesk

It is to me strange how insurance companies in Spain manage to delay even the simplest tasks.

Wondering if you have made any progress?

It has been about 10 weeks now, and just recently, the neighbors insurance company have sent several people to check out the damage, but as of now, nothing has been done. We had to nudge our neighbor to contact the insurance company otherwise no one would even have called us.

Thank you for replying.

It has "only" been 6 weeks nagging the insurance agent for me. My insurance company guarantee the damage will be repaired within 3 months of claim (7.Aug),on paper, but so far the agent is avoiding contact, not answering phone or e-mails. Must admit I've now lost all confidence in that agency.

It helps knowing this is "normal", but it is still increasingly annoying.
