Hello,

you can call me „addled“ if it makes you feel better.😊
I wish you‘d rather invest some minimalistic efforts into google search regarding the harmful impacts of mega-sized solar plants on the environment and farming. Comparing mega solar parks with nuclear plants or lithium mines doesn‘t make the solution „greener“. Btw, one could argue, nuclear plants are better than mega solar parks because they are less invasive to natural landscapes.😉

I‘m all in for using solar panels. I would compare them with a good medicine, i. e. they are beneficial when applied mindfully with the right dosage but harmful when used in extreme amounts.

And seriously? You‘d prefer to look at a seemingly endless horizon of greyish rectangles than at a landscape filled with what you called „shrubs“?

I‘ve added some screenshots from my mobile phone for search inspiration.

Can’t look any worse than all the scrubland surrounding CI at the moment. An awful mess.  Fact is that no one is certain of what will happen regarding the proposed solar farm right now as the project seems to have stalled. A solar farm would be much more beneficial than a new nuclear plant...

... on the coast. Can’t have it all ways. Think the guy that I’m replying to here regarding this proposed solar farm is a bit addled as this farm should have no impact on agriculture in anyway shape or form. No one is talking about a big hole in the ground to mine for lithium chap, this is called progress and by the way, the panels are solar absorbing not reflecting. Suck it up.

„Suck it up.“ Really? No need to tell me because I’m not affected at all. I don’t live there. And I’m certainly not planning to move there, too. Why don’t you tell that to all the people who signed the petition in change.org? Or to all the Andalusian farmers whose livelihoods are being threatened? There are plenty of news articles to choose from.

You claim that you don’t live on Castalla International so really you wouldn’t have any idea of the natural mess that surrounds the estate.
Agricultural land it most certainly isn’t, pure scrubland and a mess a solar farm would be very much an improvement on the area. I’ve solar on my homes and with sufficient output and battery storage the finest of investments and before you “harp on” about the damage large scale solar farms have on agriculture this post is on Castalla International and nothing else.
