Mozzies are all over Spain, not in just one area.   If you have mozzie screens fitted to the windows and doors then you should have no problem indoors.

Oh ok sit in all summer that works i had all the sceens candles plugins and still had tiger mozzies in the house

I have to sit out of the sun, have had mozzie screens for quite a number of years and very rarely get any type of flying insect in the house.

Yes I do speak to Spanish people, I have several Spanish friends and they don't know Catral as 'mozzy city'!

Mozzies are everywhere especially where still or standing water is...a few precautions and your life is generally a lot better.they are not unique to catral and can be just as bad right across the Vega baga and beyond!

We always found “agua de Covina” sprayed on exposed skin works well and is as cheap as chips!

Hi We are about to put a deposit on a villa in Catral built in 1999. The villa is said to be illegal but the owners have everything done that was required to legalise them.

We have a lawyer from torrevieja who doesn't advise buying but the estate agent is saying that everything's ready to go it's just Valencia has stopped Catral issuing CH because they were over charging....

...

I cannot find any up to date info on this and would appreciate it if any one is in the same position or if any one has any positive up to date info in how this problem is to be resolved. Scared to loose our lives savings

Hi, if the property is on rural land (SNU-P or SNU-C) there is a root to legalisation called an MIT license.
