Hi Jo,

There are instructions on the site on how to book the appointment. From memory you can't book an appointment without your ACRO (criminal record check) as you have to send it with the request for an appointment.

Sorry I can't recall more than that at the mo.

Best wishes

Diane

Hi Diane2805 sorry to bother you about this but can you recall if you sent the translated copy of the ACRO to the consulate to request your appointment please?

Hi, yes, it was the translated version. We struggled with the list of authorised translaters so used a company called Woodcock Notary Public. They do a complete NLV package but we did not need that. Having them sort the translations was so useful. They did the ACRO translation really quickly so we could get the appointment booked. Then when we had everything else they translated the rest. All done by email. Hope that helps.

Best of luck

Thanks very much Diane, sorry to ask -so much conflicting info everywhere-if you find any-once translated(and presumably apostilled-is that it for the document? Very confusing-I know which to have the apostille on -hopefully!-but then need translating. Other stuff needs translating and then I believe we need a notary public-does this sound right? So very grateful for any advice, kind Regards
