Nothing childish about this post..... Many travelers returning to the UK share his frustration. 

Two rule changes within one week and only announced at 8pm on Saturday hints at incompetence and media induced fear from the government. This leaves only Sunday and (red day) Monday to organise a Covid test pre flight for flights from Spain. It made some sense to have either the arrival PCR test or departure test but I guess Boris's sponsors need their pharma' money.

Yes but if you are just visiting and you are out of you accommodation a couple of days after the test,  where / how does this happen I assume there must be proceedures to follow 

It means that you won’t be able to fly, and therefore not potentially infect others on the aircraft, or others when you get back to the UK. You would have to take a PCR test to confirm the lateral flow test, and then Isolate in Spain I would imagine. I suppose that’s the risk we all take when deciding to travel abroad. We are travelling to Spain tomorrow, like I said, taking the risk!.

Not sure about  your statement, we bought tests from Randox in August for.our.return to UK, on our arrival ,journeyed by car we knew nothing wrong with us ,ignored using the test ,and used the code for our return last Thursday to UK ,and glad i did ,sure it wont go down well with PC brigade on here ,but knew nothing wrong with us did test yesterday morning  put in Randox  box yesterday   about 13-30 notified this afternoon negative test ,an absolute  con ,people paying money to travel and return for tests we all know whether we are I'll or not 

Not sure any of that is at all relevant, it’s nothing to do with pre booked covid tests for when you enter the UK, nor the UK passenger locator documentation. If you went to a clinic in Spain for a pre departure lateral flow test and you tested positive for Covid they would not issue an all clear cert, which you need. And I’m sure they would not just let you walk into the street in the knowledge that you are potentially covid positive. Or at least I would hope not !. There will be a procedure that the clinic must professionally follow. Either way, I would doubt you would be on the flight home, you would be taking a PCR test and if confirmed, Isolating in Spain. And even if that wasn’t the case, would you, already knowing you had tested positive try and fly home, I would like to think most responsible people would not. So bottom line, if you failed your test in Spain you are most likely staying there until you are fit to fly.
