Can anyone advise where to look for used motorcycles/motorbikes in the Denia area? Is there a website where used motorbikes are listed by private sellers rather than dealers? Is there a facility in the ex-pat community for buying used motorbikes?

We have bought an apartment in Denia and will be spending several months there each year so a cheap motorbike would be useful. We will be out there from January next year.

On a similar vein, are there any riding groups in the Denia area who do regular meetings/ride outs? or off road riding?

Spain levies a special transfer tax on used vehicles depending on make and age but not on shape. Buyer pays.

Hi again

Can’t help with the buying of, but if you take a look at this site, it might help. They’ve a bar on the road down from Benitachell to Moraira where bikers, tho’ not exclusively, gather. They hire out bikes etc, check out the website. Music’s great. I’m sure they’ll give you some pointers 🤪🥂

i’m a keen biker and keep a boat in Denia, i’m out right now having ridden down from Santander on my bike 😀

I’ve not tried the HD bar mentioned above but will try to check it out this week before i head back north on wednesday.

we’ll probably be out in january so maybe catch up then and talk bikes ?

Hi, thanks for the advice, I contacted Peter Zwaan lkast week and asked him to keep an eye out for what I am looking for, a 125 - 250 trail/enduro bike. He seems to deal mainly with large cruiser type bikes so I am not sure if he will be able to find what I am looking for, but, we will see. In the meantime I am still looking for a source for what I am looking for, perhaps local small ads might be a better option for me. I am keen to try a bit of off road riding while I am out there. I compete in long distance trials here in the UK and also do green laning around the Lake District and the Yorkshire dales etc, so keen to replicate that in Spain. I may also look into bringing one of my bikes over from the UK if I can't find what I am looking for locally.

I am planning on being out there in Jan for 3 months, Covid restrictions permitting!

Recal this type of bike displayed in showroom at Pego but was only a quick glance when passing. I tried to find it on Google for you but only found this link for Pego which lacks inventory detail. Good luck.
