Hi RayD

Is this right, I understood that it had to be a proven monthly income. I got this information from the Spanish CAB.

Hi I also thought that you could show a certain amount in your bank account, therefore you may have savings that would be accepted as opposed to the monthly income? Is this correct?

Within the letter of the law, you're correct. You need:

'sufficient financial means'

'or credit a source of periodic receipt of income'

See the following for more details.

https://www.costablancaforum.com/area/almorad%C3%AD-spain-11/residency-in-almorad%C3%AD-padron-residencia-passport-advice-23/jims-guide-moving-to-spain-and-residencia-for-non-eu-citizens-46065/

Whether or not those requirements will or will not be applicable all depends on the outcome of the Brexit joint committee negotiations.
