I'm located in Calp. The riding is great, but very hilly. Easy is all relative :)

Hi Patricia
I'm not aware of any clubs but am looking for a social riding group. I used to ride a lot but have taken a break for the last 5 years since returning from Australia and am keen to dust off the road bike and get back out there. I am in Playa Almadraba (10 kms north of Denia near Els Poblets) so if you fancy an easy ride then let me know - hopefully won't take me too long to get some kms up. I don't know any routes yet - lacking the motivation to get out there on my own but as long as there's coffee/breakie at the end I'm keen!!

I am lookung to move there possibly and being an avid cyclist whether or not there is an expat cycling group is important to me when i choose a location in Spain. Any luck with one?
Hi
The Dénia area is certainly the place tobe. At least 2 Pro teams having set up their trainings camp here at the moment.
There are several groups going on regular rides. The expat group my partner rides with starts every Tuesday, Thursday & Sunday from Gata. They consist of mostly ex-racers who have now retired but are still hard to keep up with (as I have been told). It is a mixture of all ages (my partner is 53) and everyone is welcome to join. The normally split in 2 groups, a slower and a faster group. Hope that helps.
