Jalon is lovely. It sits in an elevated position inland in the very beautiful Jalon valley. There are quite a few Brits living up there in Jalon itself and nearby villages like Parcent. It's really "Spanish", completely unspoilt and surrounded by fruit groves and lush vegetation.

For example I live in a village/town population 2000, 6 miles inland from Denia and although I have a car the Jalon/ Denia bus passes through here and takes me into Denia fairly quickly. Hello Dinnerout
That’s an unusual username :) I like it.
I just looked at the maps and yes it is rather a bit far out and I’m not keen on driving far on my own in case I get lost and it would be on the RHS of the road… eek certainly I would want a bus trip that long especially in the summer heat even with aircon.
So I definitely think a trip over there would be the best plan, or when my son and his girlfriend moved to Valencia in March they can do a bit of looking around for us.
Thank you so much for replying to my message, every bit of info helps so much.
