Whilst I am a qualified hairdressing tutor and SEN support coach my passion is working in hospitality. I have worked in pubs to fine dining restaurants as maitre-d and feel it is where I thrive! I am not looking for late evening work in busy fast paced bars or restaurants more a friendly cafe/bistro atmosphere/environment with ability to accommodate a non Spanish speaking member of staff (yet!). I am extremely gratefully to you for taking the time to read my post.

This is your third post of the same nature!! One post is enough to get a reliable answer. I have answered your post that if you are a UK passport holder you will need to apply for a visa  to be able to live and work in Spain.

Thank-you so much for your kind and patient response tebo53. Maybe you can't also see I only joined the forum today, therefore am still learning how to use it correctly and effectively, without offending anybody. I am aware of the visa situation and what is required to live and work in Spain, hence the post about job vacancies not visas but thabk you for your kind advice nonetheless.

First lesson learnt - 1 post goes to all destinations and multiple posts are not required Or welcomed.

Second lesson learnt - maybe the region isn't as welcoming and friendly as I'd been led to believe over the past 25 years my family have lived there!

If that's how you feel then perhaps another area might suit you better. However, if you want to live and work anywhere in Spain you will need to apply for a work visa.

Stay lucky

Jobs in Spain, in hospitality, are usually seasonal, poorly paid. I haven't seen relaxed working pace. It is multitasking in multilingual environment. I talked to one of owners of a restaurant. She explained how they make under minimum wage look good on paper...

Good luck with everything Niki!

Just keep asking around and staying positive.

Don’t let people with a pin stand in your way.

People love to pop other people balloons. Don’t let them!

Stay bright!
