I am an 82 year old man moving to Denia. My daughter and her husband live close by in Alcalali. I have taken a long term rent of an apartment in Calle Pintor Llorens.  Currently I live aboard my peniche in Toulouse in France. I have sold the peniche and the new owner takes over in September when I will be moving to Denia.

On a previous visit to Denia in July I obtained my NIE and opened a bank account. I also have my S1.  I now require an English speaking solicitor who can act on my behalf to obtain residency.  I would appreciate the telephone number / email address of a recommended solicitor.

Hi Arthur, as Ray says, you could do it yourself, its something my partner and myself did, but I appreciate its not easy if you are not a Spanish speaker. By the way, see my recent post on this forum re getting your SIP card online.

I used Tecnicos Asociados in Denia when I bought my house two years ago, lawyer Beatriz Carapeto, who speaks English and is very professional. Their email is [email protected]

Good luck

Hi,

We used a gestor in Denia who was brilliant. Fluent English and very helpful. She took the S1 to the social services and we could then go to the health centre on Juan Fuster to get our SIP cards. She even came with us to the hospital to act as translator on our first visit to obtain a prescription. Your address is just round the corner from the police office where they issue the residency. She will guide you through the paperwork and accompany you to the office. She can also sort out changing your UK driving licence to a Spanish one. Her details are:-

Maria Trujillano GoyaA NIE NUMBER.  c/ Sertorio, 13 (Denia). 03700 - Alicante / Phone: (+34) 684 458 847Email: [email protected]www.anienumber.com

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

Thankyou for your reply which I have taken note of. I have been reading Jim's guide and have found some very useful hints. Arthur.

Thanks Jack. Unfortunately although I am fluent French, my Spanish is very limited. Arthur

I used an English speaking firm of Solicitors in Albir called Express Legal Solicitors who are located in Albir if you need their services.

They have helped both me and my wife to gain residency and get permanent residency cards.
