Gaining residency (residencia)
Been in Spain for 3 months and considering living here.
Can anyone one give us any advice as to applying for residency or anthing else that may be required.
Use the search bar for Jim's Guides in Everywhere. If you are a Brit, you may struggle to get an appointment for Residency due to Brexit. Last I heard, it was impossible.

The residency guide is:
At the moment it's virtually impossible to get an appointment for residency.
Post Brexit the system will be significantly different but, provided there's an agreement, then the procedure will be a lot easier for those who already have residency as an EU citizen.
Hi all,
I am moving over from U.K. middle of next month ( November).
Will this be too late to do the registration for residency?
Does anyone know if the Town Hall is still operating or shut down due to covid?
Can anyone recommend an English speaking solicitor that could do the application for me?

You will be cutting it very fine to complete your full residency.
You will need to prove that you have enough income to satisfy the authorities you won't become a burden on the state. That income will need to have been put into a Spanish bank account for the last three months and outgoings being paid to various companies to prove that you have been actually are living here legally in Spain. You will need to prove that you have full healthcare cover for you and any dependants paid for upfront for a full year. You will need to produce a padron. You will need to show a long term rental agreement or deeds to a property.
Residencia and the TIE card is for persons who actually are living here legally in Spain. I recommend you employ a gestor to help you through the process.

Thank you Steve.
Just googled Gestor/ Denia. The address came up Benidorm. Do you know if there is one in Denia or nearby please?

Sorry I don't know any gestors in Denia.
I've always used (and still do) a firm of Solicitors in Albir. Express Legal Solicitors. They are an English speaking firm of Solicitors.
