My wife and I have an apartment in Denia and want to apply for residencia. We live in Scotland. The problem is we are now unlikely to be in Spain until next year. Can we apply without being in Spain? We both have current NEI numbers.

Also..would you advise or recommend using a lawyer or assessores?

Do you have a Spanish bank account with income going in on a regular basis which is around €500 per month ( for the last 3 months) or enough income to satisfy the authorities you won't become a burden on the state?

To gain residency you will need to prove to the authorities that you live here full time?

Can you prove to the authorities that you have full healthcare cover for you and your family?

I would recommend that you use a firm of Solicitors to get your residency. I recommend Express Legal Solicitors of Albir.

That is just a few requirements needed to apply for residency.

Hi Tony,

Yes, you do need to attend your TIE appointment in person - the Foreigners' office staff need to compare your photo to the 'real thing' and you also have your fingerprints taken.

Kind regards,

Kim
