Is Denia a town for young people?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a nice coastal town to spend two months. I'll be working for my office in the Netherlands and just want to enjoy the weather, the beach, nature, a new place with new people and the Spanish language. Last year I did this in Tarifa (Andalusia) and really enjoyed this.

My question is; does Denia have a lot of young(er) expats (25-35y)? Not trying to offend anyone but just not looking for something like Benidorm.

Hope someone can give me a sense of how Denia is like in the months march-may. Or maybe someone has a good suggestion for another town.

Kind regards,

Barry

The populations of both Denia and Javea swell dramatically in the summer months, but I would say the demographic is pretty mixed, with the emphasis on families.

The obvious place to point you towards, if big cities don't scare you, is Barcelona, a well known summer party place for the younger generation. And the Balearics, of course.

I visited Denia and Benidorm with group of friends (loved both of places), but I didn't get impression they are catering for different age groups.

Hi Barry If you look to socialise between Denia & Javea New & Old Town ( all pretty close together ) you are in Spain at possibly the nicest time of year ( Spring ) you will not go far wrong. Enjoy.
