Hello there

We visit the Costa Blanca most years and rent for 4 to 8 weeks.  All the properties previously have included utility bills but I see in Denia many properties during the winter months are lower in price to rent but one has to pay for the electricity/water used.  Can someone please give me an indication of the cost for a monthly charge I could expect to pay for these services?  I can then do my sums. The accommodation is for two people and is likely to be a 2 bedroomed property. Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Graham

Very variable depending on nature / age / orientation / insulation of the building. Heating will be the main expense and that will also be dependent on type and how much you use it. Aircon units used to heat are reasonable. Gas and oil heating can get expensive. My 3 bed villa has aircon and oil heating. During an average winter week a guest will use around €80-100 for oil and aircon heating. I do not charge for general electricity use. A smaller, modern and well-insulated propertyy will likely be less.

Hi

We have a two bed two bath villa and our monthly water consumption costs is around €40 per month and electricity is higher in the summer due to ac useage so costs vary from €50 to €75 per month . We use gas for hot water and central heating and the average cost of this is €15/20 per month .with occasional ac heating  Our villa is well insulated with double glazing .
a lot of the utility costs are standing charges so if you can get these wavered with your land lord that will reduce your bills

Hope that helps

Peter
