I have used Excom for my Wifi for 10years

In June last year I sold my house and

cancelled my contract .

Then in December Excom took 90€ from my bank account . I emailed asked why was told because I had not return the Wifi hub, they sent me paperwork so I could arrange for hub to be return , this was posted back on10thJan

After repeated emails I was told payment would take 1-2 months

At the end of March I started emailing for refund no replies

On 12 April I had my legal people ring them they were told no refund as I had not returned within the a period - so goodbye to 90€

No not use this company

Unfortunately if they are cheap thats what people pay for, not service. In the end people always go back to the main provider

All those "resellers" have an uncertain future, better stay away. I use Digi Mobil prepaid flat 10,-/mo, bought a wireless SIM card modem which I can take wherever I go. No problems.

Just a thought. I have the Sabadell app and if anyone puts a direct debit through that I haven't authorised then I bounce it back to them  on the same day ! Takes under 2 minutes and it's extremely easy. Have you asked your Bank if they can help retrieve your €90 ?

Hi yes the problem was I was back in Uk and the money had been taken and paid I was surprised with Excom because when

I contacted them they appeared very helpful send the hub back and they would refund , but after 3 months said I was late in sending back and basically tough

Hi all, I have just registered on this forum to share my experience with Excom as it may be helpful to others.

We chose Excom one year ago since at our location we have very limited choices of Wifi providers, Excom offers fiber and a pause in the contract if you are not at home for more than four weeks. Installation worked flawless. Technicians showed up on time. Wifi speed works as promised. Trouble starts when you get technical problems.

They have some kind of trouble ticket system; but when you open a ticket you don't see it there. The phone support always seems a bit confused and the number seems to change from time to time (for example, the number they give on their website doesn't currently work). You won't be able to get qualified answers (as I'm working in IT I have certain technical knowledge) but standard answers like "a technician will have to take a look at that", even if you give detailed information about the problem. We have been waiting for a technician for several days (!) after our access stopped working.

We will probably stay with Excom for the time being, as we have no other choice.

If you value better quality of service and cannot use alternative access (mobile internet, neighbor's wifi) in case of need, it is better to choose a more reliable provider.

Cheers, Andy

I know everybody apparently hates them, but we have used Aeromax for years. We are way out in the campo, where connecting to any form of satellite is fraught. Yes, we have had periods when it goes down, as this morning for about ten hours. Everyone in the area rings each other, as we all have it, to check it’s not just us. If we are all down, the no one bothers because it will inevitably be functioning again within a few hours, with no intervention, or complaining on our part.
